The El Dorado Friends of Seniors are proud to announce the opening of their 2016 Grants process. The “Friends” partnered with the El Dorado Community Foundation in 2013 and through their Fund at the Foundation they will be offering grants of up to $10,000 to El Dorado County nonprofits that provide senior programs or services.
In 2015, their grants supported the following nonprofits with much needed scholarships, supplies, resource directory, home repairs and transportation:
- Bipolar Insights
- El Dorado Hills Senior Day Care
- El Dorado County Health & Human Services Agency
- Friends of the Library of El Dorado County
- Kelly Ridge Senior Home
- Marshall Foundation for Community Health
- Rebuilding Together
The grant application is designed to inform the Board of Directors of the Friends of Seniors about who you are as an organization, what specific program or service you need assistance with and a budget to support your request. They are committed to their mission to “support the wellness, dignity and independence of El Dorado County seniors and their caregivers,” and encourage applications.
If you are a qualifying El Dorado County not-for-profit, you may obtain more information and access the grant application or, call Kathi Lishman at 530-626-6323 with questions.
Friends of Seniors reminds you that grant recipients cannot receive consecutive year grant funding. All requests must be received by 5:00 p.m., April 29, 2016.
