Lois has a long-standing association with non-profit organizations, both personally and professionally. Now retired after a career in child welfare and social services administration, she is following a family tradition of volunteerism.
Karen graduated from California State University, Sacramento and currently works with her husband in their local business. Family and community are important to Karen and she volunteers her time not only with The Foundation Board, but also Women’s Fund El Dorado, as a Girl Scout leader, and her children’s schools.
Mike obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and maintained a private practice for 10 years. He also obtained a BS degree in Business Marketing. He left his practice about 10 years ago to become the President of the Barsotti Juice Company. Mike and his wife, Mindy stay very active raising their young children, Mark and Mia.
Chris has been involved with the work of the Foundation for many years. After graduate school she began her own business as a financial advisor serving clients in El Dorado County and the greater Sacramento area. Her career and expertise in finance is a valuable asset to our Planned Giving Committee and the Foundation as a whole.
Joyce has lived in the county over 25 years. In addition to having owned an art gallery and being an artist, she has operated retail businesses, been a member of service clubs and served on the Board of several nonprofit organizations.
Shelbi’s association with the Foundation began with the Buy-A-Day charity golf tournament that she and her family began. Besides her service on our Board, she also serves as the new Chair of the El Dorado Hills Cabinet and is involved in other nonprofit work as well.
Jana is an Estate Planning Attorney in Cameron Park. She has been an active member of the Foundation’s Planned Giving Committee for many years. Her extensive knowledge of the community as well as the Foundation has been instrumental in assisting us in educating professional advisors, our board, and the community at large about the work we do.
Judith began her association with The Foundation serving on our Grants Committee. She continues that work as well as being a board member and a fund holder. Judith and her husband, Tom, are both entrenched in service in El Dorado County.
Wendy has taken an active leadership role in South Lake Tahoe since moving there 42 years ago. She has held many leadership roles and elected positions. She is also a founding member of the South Lake Tahoe Cabinet and Tahoe Women’s Community Fund.
Ed Manansala, Ed.D, is the El Dorado County Superintendent of Schools. came to the El Dorado County Office of Education in June 2013. He served previously as a high school principal and district superintendent. Ed firmly believes that an excellent education is the most critical lever available to lift all children up to their full potential.
Georgi is a long-time resident of El Dorado Hills and has vast knowledge of all things community. No stranger to volunteerism, she served as the first Chair of the El Dorado Hills Cabinet of the Foundation and continues her work with them, as well as serving on the Board.
Since serving in the Peace Corps with her husband, Don, Katy has served the El Dorado county community in many ways for 50 years. She was instrumental in the founding of the Foundation and was also the founder of the Women’s Fund El Dorado at the Foundation. Katy has recently returned to sit as a member of the Board and head the PR/Communications Committee.
A CPA since 1989, Dan provides tax planning and business advisory services for a variety of individual and business clients in Sacramento and El Dorado County. He has been an instructor with UC Davis Extension teaching in the CFP program and received their 2010 Outstanding Service Award. He also serves on the Planned Giving Committee of the Foundation and on the board of directors for 3Strands Global, Inc. Dan is the founder of Staszak & Company, Inc. CPA’s and lives with his wife and two daughters in Gold River, CA.
Since 2006, Dale has been the dean at outreach campuses of Folsom Lake College in Placerville and Rancho Cordova. Van Dam currently serves on many boards, is an active member of Kiwanis of Placerville and is our newest board member.
Paul and his wife, Erin, have lived in El Dorado County for 38 years. Paul has been involved with numerous local non-profits and service organizations. His family is a fund holder at the EDCF and he strongly believes that everyone can find a way to support and improve our communities.
