On October 23, 2007, twelve women in El Dorado County embarked in a journey that has been in the planning stages for years. This journey will combine the talent, leadership and humanity of El Dorado women as agents of change- in our personal lives and change in our community.
The development of the Women's Fund El Dorado is acknowledgment and a keen awareness that one of the largest growing segments of philanthropy is being directed by women. Women who are ready to step up and become involved in philanthropy.
The Women's Fund El Dorado works to engage women and girls in a partnership with the community to gain knowledge, build trust and relationships, and to expand the capacity of giving in El Dorado County for causes that matter for women who care.
To date the fund has raised over $130,000 and counts over 250 women and men as members.
