Dear friends,

Strong threads of trust are materializing in the way of gifts to the Foundation. We are humbled to report that in this struggling economy, that trust level was measured in gifts totaling more than one million dollars this year.

As new donors join with the founding donors of our beginning years, they are being woven together on the “loom” that is the Foundation to become the fabric that is building a strong net of funding for needed services and programs for our community. As social, economic and generational changes create different needs in our community, we stand ready.

The staff and Board of the El Dorado Community Foundation are proud that we have met the challenges of yesterday with clarity and purpose; we look forward to the opportunities of tomorrow. As we share the stories in this report and you have a chance to “hear” the voices of donors, grant recipients and nonprofit partners, we hope you will begin to realize what we are realizing and that is - together anything is possible.
